The Artaria collection of flute concertos contains important works from the classical period.
Leopold Hofmann was regarded by his contemporaries as one of the most gifted and influential composers of his generation. His flute concertos were performed all over Europe. Their importance in his day is shown today by the large number of surviving manuscripts.
Our collection contains the complete concertos, study editions, as well as cadenzas by Uwe Grodd.
François Devienne was a real wind music specialist. His flute concertos combine melodic elegance and graceful virtuosity which make them a real pleasure to play. Our scholarly editions are based on the original manuscripts.
