Hofmann, Leopold (1738-1793)

The publication of Leopold Hofmann’s Flute Concertos A1, D2, D5, G1 and G4 brings to completion the first-ever edition of the most important series of flute concertos composed in Vienna in the mid-18^th century. Attractive and full of invention, these works exhibit Hofmann’s typical sensitivity to instrumental colour, particularly in the brilliant writing for the flute.
